Nose Bleed emerged during the first semester of my MA as an experiment with video layering, initially out of necessity. I wanted to fictionalize documentary footage filmed in Cebu City, Philippines, where I visited my sister-in-law’s family.

Working only with existing material, I began inserting a character into research footage as a way to introduce distance, projection, and detachment. The body becomes a mediator between places, voices, and viewpoints.
